I'm Alyanna Poe, Northern California born and raised author. I published my first book at eighteen, proving that age is just a number.
I enjoy writing, especially horror! I live and breathe horror as Halloween has always been a huge holiday in my house. Most of the stories I write and my current WIPs are in the horror genre. Although, before I kick the bucket, I plan on writing in every genre I can think of.
I'm very serious about my craft. I work on something revolving my books everyday, but when I'm not stuck on the computer, I love spending time with my parents and three dogs. I also enjoy trying different art forms, like painting and drawing, but I mainly focus on my writing as my art isn't necessarily... up to par.
Music is a huge influence in my life. It's always on in my house (in fact it's on as I write this!) I generally listen to alternative rock, rap, or EDM. EDM and lofi hip hop are great for my writing as they generally have no lyrics for me to get distracted with.
Being left handed, I've always been messy and creative, and I must admit, I am a bit scatter-brained most of the time.
If you follow me on any of my social media pages, feel free to message me. I'm always up for a conversation!
I write horror and am currently working in science fiction. I also write interviews with other horror creators like myself.
I'm currently working on a science fiction series. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions about it :)

Many people ask if I use a pseudonym (pen name) and the answer is
Poe is my real last name! Growing up, I had an interest in Edgar Allan Poe, dressing up as him for class projects and reading his poetry.
You could say that I was born to write horror ;)
This title has been the most personal I have gotten with a book. It includes fiction inspired not only by my mask collection, but also my past trauma. I use writing as a form of coping & I'm ready to share these pieces. CtB also includes a few real experiences I've had and a few poems.
Since I'm a self-published author, I've learned to edit, format, and design the covers of my own work!
I dabble in graphic design, drawing, painting, photography, and welding.
One day I'd like to learn to sew my own dresses, write songs, and produce my own beats!
